Notification preferences

Choose which events notify you in-app and by email.

1 min read

Ferio can reach you two ways: in-app, through the notification bell in the header, and by email. You decide, event by event, which channels you want. Open your profile and find the Notification preferences section.

In-app and email

Each event has its own row with two switches, one per channel. Turn a switch on to get that event that way, off to mute it. Changes save on their own the moment you flip a switch, so there is no separate save button. Leaving both switches on for an event is fine; turning both off means you simply will not hear about it.

Events you can control

These are the events Ferio can notify you about:

  • Request approved and Request rejected: the decision on leave you asked for.
  • Quota nearly exhausted: a heads-up when a balance is running low.
  • Upcoming leave reminder: a nudge one day before your leave starts.
  • Holiday reminder: an upcoming public holiday on your calendar.
  • Quota changed by admin: an administrator adjusted one of your balances.
  • Work schedule changed: your working week was updated.
  • Document reminder: a request is still missing a required document.
  • Retroactive entry recorded: leave was logged for you on a past date.
  • Country profile changed: a rule that applies to you was updated.

Mandatory notifications

Request approved and Request rejected are marked Mandatory. Both channels stay on for them and the switches are locked, because a decision on your own leave is something you always need to know. Everything else is yours to tune. Security emails, such as the confirmation sent when your password changes, follow the same always-on rule and do not appear in this list.
