Set up country profiles
The rulebook Ferio applies per country: holidays, entitlement and more.
A country profile is the rulebook Ferio applies to each person: public holidays, entitlement, leave types, substitute workdays, and whether leave can be filed retroactively. Set it up once and every calendar, quota, and report for the people on that profile stays correct. Managing profiles needs the manage country profiles permission.
Create a profile
Go to Settings, Country Profiles and choose Add profile. Start from a country template, which pre-fills sensible defaults, or build one from scratch, then give it a name (for example "Hungary" or "France, Paris HQ").
Add public holidays
Once the profile exists, import the country's public holidays for the year in one click, and add any company-specific closures by hand. Holidays show on the calendar for everyone the profile covers and are never deducted as leave.
Set entitlement and leave types
Define the base annual allowance and choose which leave types apply. Ferio builds each person's entitlement from the rules that actually apply, including age and children bonuses, so the number on screen is what the employee is owed. See Quotas and entitlements for the bonus rules.
Encode local rules
Mark substitute (rescheduled) workdays for the year where the country uses them, and turn on retroactive submission if people may file leave for past dates. Both are per-profile, so each office follows its own rule.
Assign people
Attach each person to their profile. From that moment their holidays, entitlement, working calendar, and reports resolve by their own country's rules. Move someone to another profile and everything downstream follows.
