Attach a document to a request
Upload a certificate or proof as a PDF or image.
Some leave types need a supporting document: a sick note, a medical certificate or similar. Ferio accepts a PDF, JPG or PNG up to 10 MB.
When a document is needed
The requirement comes from the leave type. A type can ask for a document up front, meaning you attach it when you submit, or afterwards, meaning you have a set number of days after the leave to upload it. Types with no document policy do not take attachments at all.
Attach it while requesting
For a type that requires a document up front, the Request leave drawer shows a document upload area. Drag a file onto it or browse for one. Submit stays disabled until a file is attached, so you cannot forget it.
Add or replace a document later
Open the request from My Leave and scroll to the Documents section. Upload a file, download an existing one, or delete and replace it. You can manage your own documents; team leads and HR admins can upload on your behalf.
Missing-document reminders
If a document-required leave is approved but nothing is uploaded by the deadline, the request shows a Missing document badge and Ferio sends reminders. The deadline date appears on the request row in My Leave.
Backdated leave often needs a document after the fact: see Retroactive (past-dated) requests. To read a request's status and history, see The request detail page and timeline.
