Request time off

You can request time off from the web app or the Ferio mobile app in under a minute. Every request goes to the right approver, and your balance updates automatically once it is approved.

Submit a request

Open My Leave and choose Request leave. Pick a leave type, then select your start and end dates on the calendar. Ferio counts only the working days in that range: weekends, public holidays for your country profile, and any non-working days on your schedule are skipped automatically, so the day count you see is the number of days that will actually come off your balance.

• Leave type: annual leave, sick leave, and any other types your workspace has set up. Some types need approval, some are recorded without it.
• Dates: the working-day total updates live as you change the range.
• Note: add context for your approver (optional).
• Document: if the leave type requires proof, attach a PDF or image to the request.

What happens after you submit

Your approver is notified straight away by email and in the app. They can approve or reject in one click. You are notified of the decision, and approved days move from pending to used on your balance. If the type is set to auto-approve for your role, the request is approved the moment you submit it.

Pending days are held against your balance while you wait for a decision, so you always see your true remaining total.

Track and change a request

Open any request to see its status and full timeline. While a request is still pending you can edit its dates or note, or withdraw it. After approval you can request a cancellation; your approver confirms it and the days return to your balance. For more, see Edit, cancel or withdraw a request.
