Go-live checklist

Going live switches your workspace on for everyone and sends out the invitations. It is worth a few minutes to confirm the setup first, because the numbers your team sees on day one come straight from what you configure here. Run through the checks below, then launch.

Rules and calendars

• Country profiles: one per country you operate in, with the right entitlement rules. See Set up country profiles.
• Holidays: this year is imported for each profile, and any company closures are added.
• Leave types: the types you actually use, each with the correct approval and document policy.
• Work schedules: full-time, part-time and custom patterns exist for the way your people work.

People and access

• Teams and roles: teams have their leads, and company roles are in place.
• Permissions: each software role grants the access you intend, nothing more.
• Users: everyone is added, one by one via Invite your team or in bulk via Import users from CSV, each with a country profile.

Quotas and opening balances

Check that annual quotas are set for each role, with per-person overrides where someone differs. If people are moving to Ferio partway through a leave year, enter the days they have already taken as opening balances, so their available total is right from the first login rather than showing a full untouched allowance.

Opening balances are the step teams most often forget. Skip it and everyone appears to have their whole year still available.

Launch

When the checks pass, open the final step of the onboarding wizard and choose Launch. Ferio applies everything, emails each invited person a set-password link, and the workspace is live. You can still adjust any of it afterwards from Settings.
